Oakville United has coaches that bring experience in all parts of the game, and a passion to help kids grow!

Competitive Challenge

Our families want their children to experience a challenging athletic atmosphere, without sacrificing their need to be kids.

Affordable Soccer

Our families want elite soccer training without the giant price tag. We offer an affordable select soccer experience without inflated costs.

Local Training

As a community-based club, practicing soccer close to home is important to our working families. It reduces travel time and stress.

OU Founding Coaches

Bringing experience with all parts of the game!

George Gansner

George has an extensive resume within the ranks of professional/international, amateur, and youth soccer as a coach, player, and referee. He coached youth and high school soccer in Florida during college and, more recently, in St. Louis with Coca-Cola (boys and girls), Queen of All Saints, and Oakville United. After playing college soccer, George also played in Germany for a short time in the German Landesliga. In relation to the game, George is probably best known for his successful career as a FIFA and MLS Assistant Referee, and having retired from the field at the end of the 2015 season, worked as a referee coach/mentor for current MLS assistant referees in 2016 and 2017.

Scott Hanak

Scott has a long history with coaching both recreational and competitive soccer programs in Chicago and in St. Louis. With a deep passion for the game, he has been coaching several different boys and girls soccer teams in various age groups for the past several years and also sees the game from the other side by contributing his time and experience as a CYC youth soccer referee. Scott is often sought out to lead goalkeeping training sessions around the St. Louis area to bring to the goalkeepers his own playing experiences while in high school (Bishop DuBourg) and college (Dominican University).

Jennifer Siess Gansner

Jen has had success on all sides of the game. Having played St. Louis youth select soccer, then at Eureka High and Lindenwood University, her playing career culminated as part of Missouri’s O-30 Women’s team that won Midwest Regionals and went to USASA’s National Championships four years in a row. Jen was rewarded for her college efforts with induction into Lindenwood Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011. Along with refereeing through the college level, her decade of coaching experience includes leading boys and girls teams of various ages in CYC along with clubs like St. Louis Scott Gallagher and Oakville United.
